Cherry Blossom Tour Guests Joined Our Japanese Home Cooking Class in Tokyo

A Special Cooking Experience with Guests from Australia and Canada

This spring, we welcomed guests from Australia and Canada as part of a Cherry Blossom Tour in Japan.

During their stay in Tokyo, they joined our Japanese Home Cooking Class at Kitchen Studio Kitchen Bee.

Spring is one of the most beautiful seasons to visit Japan.
Cherry blossoms are a symbol of the season, and many travelers come to Japan to enjoy the scenery, culture, and food.

We were very happy to share another side of Japanese culture with our guests — the warmth of Japanese home cooking.

Cooking Together in a Japanese Kitchen

In our class, guests did not simply watch a cooking demonstration.

They joined the cooking process and experienced making Japanese home-style dishes with their own hands.

Cooking together is one of the best ways to understand everyday Japanese culture.

Through preparing ingredients, learning small cooking techniques, and making dishes step by step, guests can experience what Japanese home cooking feels like in a real kitchen.

It is not only about the recipes.

It is about the atmosphere, the conversation, and the joy of sharing food together.

Enjoying the Meal They Made

After cooking, everyone sat down together to enjoy the dishes they had prepared.

For many travelers, eating food they made themselves becomes a very memorable part of the experience.

Japanese home cooking is different from restaurant food.

It is simple, balanced, seasonal, and deeply connected to daily life in Japan.

Through this meal, our guests were able to enjoy not only the taste of Japanese food, but also the culture behind it.

Learning Through Quizzes and Games

During the class, we also enjoyed quizzes and games related to Japanese food and culture.

These activities help guests learn in a fun and relaxed way.

Instead of only listening to explanations, they can think, guess, laugh, and discover new things together.

Food culture becomes easier to understand when it is experienced through both cooking and play.

The class became a warm and lively time, filled with smiles and conversation.

A Matcha Tea Experience at the End of the Class

At the end of the class, our guests also experienced making matcha.

Matcha is a very special part of Japanese culture.

Whisking matcha by hand is a simple but beautiful experience.

It allows guests to slow down and enjoy a quiet moment after cooking and eating together.

For many visitors, this was a wonderful way to finish the class.

More Than Sightseeing: Experiencing Everyday Japan

Traveling in Japan is not only about visiting famous places.

Sometimes, the most memorable moments happen in a small kitchen, around a table, while cooking and eating together.

At Kitchen Bee, we hope to offer travelers a chance to experience everyday Japan through food.

We were very grateful to welcome our guests from Australia and Canada, and to share Japanese home cooking, cultural games, and matcha with them during their Cherry Blossom Tour.

We hope this experience will remain as one of their special memories from Japan.
